Role Overview

We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor with experience in nonprofit or humanitarian storytelling. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, transforming raw footage—often captured in challenging environments—into compelling, emotional, and high-impact marketing videos for social media, campaigns, advertisements, and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit client-provided footage (fieldwork, interviews, testimonials, program highlights) into engaging, story-driven videos.
• Develop video narratives aligned with campaign goals such as awareness, fundraising, or donor engagement.
• Incorporate storytelling techniques inspired by leading nonprofit campaigns.
• Add subtitles, captions, and motion graphics optimized for various digital platforms.
• Source suitable background music and sound effects to enhance emotional tone.
• Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to ensure alignment with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
• Repurpose long-form videos into short-form formats (reels, teasers, and ads).
• Deliver projects on tight deadlines, especially for time-sensitive humanitarian campaigns.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience editing videos for nonprofits, humanitarian projects, or social impact campaigns.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent tools.
• Strong storytelling instincts and pacing abilities.
• Experience working with raw, field-captured footage.
• Ability to add captions, motion graphics, and calls to action effectively.
• Knowledge of social media video formats and engagement strategies.
• Attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Passion for humanitarian work and global causes is highly valued.

Bonus Points

• Experience adding multilingual subtitles.
• Skills in basic audio cleanup and color correction.
• Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising or awareness campaigns.
