Video Editor (VFX Experience Required)

About the Role

Lumera is seeking a skilled Video Editor with strong visual effects capabilities to produce high-quality video content for digital marketing, social media, and brand campaigns. The role focuses on transforming raw footage into polished visual stories while integrating cinematic effects, motion graphics, and advanced editing techniques.

The ideal candidate combines technical editing expertise with creative storytelling and understands how to create visually impactful content optimized for modern social platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit high-quality video content for social media, digital campaigns, advertisements, and brand storytelling
• Transform raw footage into compelling short-form and long-form video content
• Create and integrate visual effects (VFX), motion graphics, transitions, and cinematic elements
• Collaborate closely with videographers, photographers, and the marketing team during content production
• Produce engaging content formats including Reels, TikTok videos, YouTube Shorts, and promotional videos
• Apply color grading, sound design, and visual enhancement to maintain high production quality
• Develop creative visual treatments that align with the brand identity
• Optimize videos for different platforms and aspect ratios (vertical, square, landscape)
• Manage video assets, project files, and editing workflows efficiently
• Stay updated with video editing trends, social media formats, and new visual technologies

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio
• Strong knowledge of video editing and post-production workflows
• Experience in visual effects (VFX), motion graphics, and cinematic editing
• Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other professional editing software
• Understanding of color correction, sound design, and video compression for social platforms
• Ability to work with fast-paced content production schedules
• Strong attention to visual detail and storytelling
• Experience creating content optimized for social media platforms
