Video Production Assistant (Pre-Professional Program)

We are seeking a motivated and hands on Video Production Assistant to join our Pre Professional Program. This role is ideal for students, recent graduates, or early career professionals looking to gain real world experience in professional video production. Participants will work alongside experienced production teams on client facing projects while developing foundational skills in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

About the Program

The Mills James Pre Professional Program is a paid, hands on internship designed to introduce emerging talent to the professional video production industry through meaningful, on the job experience across all stages of production.

• Program duration: 6 months (with potential extension up to 12 months based on performance)
• Schedule: 3040 hours per week, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed
• This program serves as a developmental experience and does not guarantee fulltime employment

Participants are evaluated on professionalism, effort, collaboration, and growth. Strong performers may be considered for extended program participation or future freelance or internal opportunities.

What You’ll Bring:

• Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve
• Interest in learning all aspects of video production, including pre‑production, on‑set support, and post‑production workflows
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work effectively as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and common‑sense problem‑solving skills
• Willingness to assist with production logistics, equipment handling, and support tasks
• Experience with studio, live‑action, broadcast, or live streaming production is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
