Video Production Specialist

Scope and Purpose

The American University of Kuwait (AUK) invites applications for the position of Video Production Specialist.
A video production specialist's scope of work includes overseeing the entire video production process, from initial concept to final delivery. This involves collaborating on concepts, storyboarding, scriptwriting, planning and scheduling shoots, operating cameras and equipment, directing talent, and performing all post-production tasks like editing, sound mixing, and adding graphics. They must manage project logistics, budgets, and deadlines, and ensure the final product meets the client's objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Capture and produce high-quality photos and videos for marketing, social media, website, and event use.
• Plan, film, and edit video projects, including interviews, event coverage, and promotional content.
• Use storytelling and visual composition techniques to create compelling, on-brand narratives.
• Collaborate with departments to develop creative concepts and follow direction while contributing original ideas.
• Edit and deliver polished final products using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
• Maintain organized photo and video archives and manage digital assets.
• Adapt to various content types, styles, and shooting environments, from formal academic settings to dynamic campus events.
• Operate and maintain cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Stay current with creative trends in videography, photography, and digital storytelling.
