Job description:

Are you a video editing wizard who loves crafting high-quality content that actually helps businesses make money, but also knows how to craft fast social videos?* Do you have the rare ability to blend creativity with strategy*, knowing when to add that perfect transition AND when to cut the fluff for better engagement? If so, you might be exactly who we’re looking for!

Manski Media is seeking a Video Editor who is able to hop right in and assist with a backlog of projects we currently have. This means cutting through the noise to create content that drives engagement, leads, and sales. If you also happen to be handy on set, running cameras, and helping with preproduction, even better!

What You’ll Be Doing (Besides Making Us Look Good):

  • Post-Production Editing: Edit social media advertising videos that don’t just rack up likes but actually help businesses get customers and make sales.
  • Marketing & Sales-Focused Editing: You understand that video isn’t just about looking cool, it’s about performing well. You’ll analyze what’s working and refine edits to drive results.
  • Preproduction Planning: Help storyboard and prep shoots with a marketing-first mindset. Fancy transitions won’t matter if the content isn’t strategically sound!
  • On-Set Assistance: Operate cameras, assist with production, and make sure we don’t accidentally film half a shoot out of focus (oops).
  • Motion Graphics & Effects: Add text overlays, branding elements, and light animation to make sure viewers actually watch the whole video instead of scrolling past.
  • Sound & Color Correction: Make sure everything looks sharp and sounds crisp, because bad audio is a crime against humanity.
  • Project Organization & Deadlines: Keep files neat, timelines tight, and meet deadlines like a responsible adult.

What We’re Looking For (aka, The Dream Editor):

  • Not a software snob!!!!– Premiere or Davinci may be your best friend, but you're not too good to use CapCut, Canva, or other simpler tools for the correct project.
  • AI enthusiast- AI is rapidly becoming a must in our industry and is taking over much of the post-production work. This person must be embracing the change and staying up to date on all the new toys out there.
  • Problem Solver- While we are big proponents of teamwork and collaboration, we also value those who can figure out practical solutions to problems quickly.
  • Editing Skills That Convert – You can cut, edit, and optimize video content for actual sales and engagement, not just viral trends.
  • Marketing Brainpower – You get that videos should fit into a larger marketing strategy and aren’t just random clips with stock music.
  • Camera Savvy – You don’t need to be Spielberg, but some basic experience running cameras on set would be a plus.
  • Data-Driven Thinker – You actually care about analytics and performance, not just how cool a transition looks.
  • Deadline-Oriented, Self-Motivated, and a Team Player – Because if we have to chase you down for edits, we might just cry.

Work Schedule & Expectations:

  • This is starting as a part-time position, but could be full-time depending on additional skills, as there are more services that we offer and could use additional help with.
  • You’ll need to be available for on-set work occasionally, so if you like the idea of getting out of the editing cave once in a while, this is for you

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
