Vintage Buyer/Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Sales Associate and Vintage Buyer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have a passion for resale and vintage fashion. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their needs, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will also play a key role in buying vintage from customers, merchandising, stocking, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering inquiries.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
• Suggest products by understanding the product assortment and recommending suitable options.
• Maintain organized merchandising displays to enhance product visibility and appeal.
• Stock shelves and ensure that products are replenished as needed throughout the store.
• Assist customers in selling their clothing and accessories to the shop by following shop buying procedures.
• Select quality merchandise in good condition for the store that best suits our customers needs
• Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Experience with vintage and resale is a plus.
• Intermediate level of understanding vintage fashion and ability to accurately date garments is helpful.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Experience with merchandising and stocking practices is desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Supervising experience is beneficial for those looking to take on leadership roles within the team.
• Vintage resellers are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions, however weekend availability is a must.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 26 per week
