Virtual Legal Counsel

Role Overview:

As our Virtual Legal Counsel, your primary responsibility is to provide expert legal advice and ensure our corporate operations are aligned with all relevant laws and regulations. You'll be a key player in supporting the company's strategic goals while mitigating legal risks.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Interaction & Communication

a) Handle client inquiries related to agreements and policies. b) Provide legal updates, advice, and status reports on ongoing work.

2. Drafting of Agreements & Policies

a) Draft various agreements like NDAs, employment contracts, service agreements, and internal policies.

b) Ensure accuracy, legal compliance, and adherence to client requirements.

3. Reviewing & Vetting of Documents

a) Thoroughly review all legal documents, agreements, and policies drafted by junior staff or third parties.

b) Vet external agreements or contracts received from clients, partners, or third parties for legal risks and compliance issues.

c) Make recommendations and corrections to improve the quality and legality of the documents.

4. Work Delegation to Juniors

a) Assign research, drafting, and administrative tasks to junior lawyers.

b) Provide clear instructions, guidance, and regular feedback on delegated tasks.

c) Monitor progress and ensure timely completion of assigned work.

5. Compliance with Legal Standards

a) Regularly review legal updates and incorporate necessary changes into agreements.

b) Ensure all drafts meet both local and international legal requirements where applicable.

6. Time & Task Management

a) Prioritize tasks and manage multiple client projects simultaneously.

b) Use task management tools to track progress and ensure timely delivery of agreements and policies.

Skills and Qualifications

Education: LL.B. or equivalent; LL.M. preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of experience in corporate law, contracts, or intellectual property advisory.

Skills:

• Deep understanding of corporate law, regulatory frameworks, and industry specific legal requirements.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly..
• Client-focused approach with a knack for identifying business needs. Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal documents.
• Strong research and analytical skills to provide tailored legal solutions.

Technology: Familiarity with virtual consultation tools and legal tech platforms.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
