Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe detailed clinical notes during live patient-provider interactions with precision and speed using eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Input, update, and manage patient information accurately within EHR/EMR systems
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of patient history, symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all medical records in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare accurate medical records for provider review, billing support, and future reference
- Verify medical terminology, anatomy references, and physiology details within documentation for accuracy
- Respond promptly to provider requests for clarification or additional information during patient encounters
- Support care coordination by updating charts with lab results, imaging reports, and consultation notes
Qualifications
Required
- Proven experience with transcription and medical documentation in a clinical or specialty setting
- Proficiency in eClinicalWorks (eCW); familiarity with Epic, Athenahealth, or similar EHR platforms a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical workflows
- Ability to type quickly and accurately under pressure to keep pace with live encounters
- Knowledge of urology or surgical specialty ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure error-free records
- Ability to work independently and maintain high productivity in a remote setting
- Must be US-based and authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a private, distraction-free workspace
Preferred
- Prior experience in urology, surgical specialty, or outpatient clinic environment
- Background in oncology support or male health services
- Experience with emergency room or high-volume clinical documentation
Contractor Details
