THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a senior, high-ownership infrastructure architecture role at an enterprise organisation running complex, mission-critical environments. You will be the technical authority for a Nutanix-first virtualization estate that spans active-active datacenters, hybrid cloud integrations, and software-defined networking - with genuine scope to shape direction, not just maintain the status quo.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

Architecture & Design

• Own and evolve enterprise virtualization architecture standards - compute, storage, and SDN blueprints
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure platform designs align with security, performance, and scalability requirements
• Drive platform lifecycle planning and ensure long-term operational efficiency

Nutanix Platform Leadership

• Lead the design, deployment, and day-to-day operation of Nutanix AHV, AOS, and Prism Central environments
• Manage cluster design, configuration optimisation, and full lifecycle including upgrades
• Ensure infrastructure components are tuned for performance, utilisation, and resilience

High Availability & Disaster Recovery

• Design and operate active-active datacenter architectures including metro cluster and stretched cluster configurations
• Implement synchronous and asynchronous replication strategies with defined RPO/RTO targets
• Plan, execute, and document DR tests and business continuity scenarios end to end

Hybrid Cloud & SDN

• Design hybrid and multi-cloud virtualization environments - integrating on-premises platforms with cloud services where required
• Architect software-defined networking solutions including micro-segmentation, traffic management, and network resiliency
• Apply zero-trust and defence-in-depth principles across the virtualization layer

Operations, Automation & Leadership

• Maintain unified visibility across compute, storage, network, and DR layers - define dashboards, alerts, and performance KPIs
• Lead root cause analysis, capacity planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide technical leadership to infrastructure engineers through implementation, migrations, and consolidations
• Contribute to automation, SOPs, and technical documentation

WHAT WE NEED

• 8–10+ years of hands-on enterprise virtualization and infrastructure experience
• Production-level Nutanix expertise - this is non-negotiable: AHV, AOS, Prism Central, lifecycle management
• Proven track record designing and operating active-active datacenter and metro cluster architectures
• Solid grounding in hyperconverged, hybrid, and multi-cloud virtualization environments
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and high availability design principles
• Hands-on software-defined networking experience - segmentation, resiliency, traffic management
• Demonstrated architecture-level delivery: design through implementation, not just operations
• Clear communication skills - able to engage technical and business stakeholders equally well

NICE TO HAVE

Certifications

• NCP-MCI, NCE, or equivalent Nutanix professional certification
• SDN or network-defined certification (NSX, Nutanix Flow, ACI)
• Cloud foundation certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP - associate level sufficient)

Additional technical exposure

• Nutanix Leap / native DR orchestration experience
• Nutanix Clusters on public cloud (hybrid deployment)
• GCC or MENA regional enterprise project experience
• Familiarity with ITIL, change management, and formal DR test documentation
