Consultant Engagement Terms – Visiting Medical Officer
Project Arogyam – Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), Kanpur Dehat (U.P.)
This is a consultant-based engagement and not an employment contract. You will be assigned to Project Arogyam Mobile Medical Unit (MMU), Kanpur Dehat (U.P.), a health-focused initiative implemented by the organization.
You will be paid a consolidated amount of ₹3,200 per visit (all-inclusive) for providing 8 hours of service per day. 25-26 visits in a month.
Scope of Work – Roles & Responsibilities of Visiting Medical Officer
As part of your engagement with the project, your key roles and responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring efficient and compassionate delivery of preventive, promotive, and curative primary care services to patients during MMU OPDs by diligently examining and treating patients.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records of all patients, both digitally and physically, as per project requirements.
- Coordinating with other clinical staff (nurse, pharmacist, and lab technician) to streamline clinical data.
- Providing personalized counselling to patients and families on treatment adherence, hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Issuing clear and descriptive referral slips for patients requiring higher-level care and maintaining detailed referral records (including reasons, addresses, and emergency details) in both the referral slip and referral register.
- Submitting daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Project Manager to ensure accurate and timely sharing of MMU OPD data with the central CSI team; supporting compilation and submission of progress reports.
- Managing, supervising, and utilizing stock of medicines, healthcare products, and reagents efficiently to prevent wastage or pilferage and ensure optimum benefits to patients.
- Undertaking home visits for critical cases, if required.
- Providing regular need-based technical training to MMU staff; tracking patients with chronic conditions to ensure continuity of treatment.
- Supervising and guiding the daily activities of all MMU staff, including the pharmacist and driver, while ensuring strict adherence to clinical protocols and operational standards for quality health service delivery.
- Actively participating in team meetings and training sessions.
- Developing strong and effective internal relationships with colleagues across all levels through appropriate communication and collaboration.
- Acting as a brand ambassador of Child Survival India and complying with CSI’s Code of Conduct.
- Carrying out any additional responsibilities as may be assigned by the Project Manager / Director – Programs from time to time.

Pay: Up to ₹80,000.00 per month
