Marquette University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Professor in Accounting beginning Fall 2026. Applicants should hold a doctoral degree or be in the final stages of dissertation. The primary teaching responsibility will be in Financial Accounting with emphasis on Introductory and Intermediate Accounting, as well as Analysis of Corporate Financial Statements. The teaching load is 18 semester hours (9 each semester). Salary and research support are competitive. The department has 10 full-time faculty members. Marquette offers AACSB-accredited undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accounting and Business.

Duties and Responsibilities
Teach financial accounting undergraduate courses at the Introductory and Intermediate Accounting levels, as well as one section of Analysis of Corporate Financial Statements cross-listed at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Conduct basic or discovery research and engage in service activities as appropriate.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Earned doctorate or a terminal degree. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and high-quality research.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Doctoral degree but candidates in the final stages of the dissertation may be considered. Experience in public accounting and/or industry.
