Marquette University invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position to teach three undergraduate course sections per semester within the Marketing Department of the College of Business Administration during the 2026-2027 school year. Courses will include Introduction to Marketing and Marketing Management (our capstone marketing course).
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research productivity and department collaboration.
  • Assist with undergraduate advising.
  • Follow course syllabus and teaching plans.
  • Instruct, manage, and supervise students in a professional manner.
  • Develop and deliver course content using lectures, discussions, role plays, simulations, and other experiential learning activities.
  • Prepare and administer quizzes, exams, and projects.
  • Evaluate and grade student work in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Maintain a minimum of three office hours per course per week.
  • Stimulate and encourage class discussions to foster critical thinking and application of sales concepts.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance.
  • Be available and responsive to student questions and support needs.
  • Remain current with professional and academic trends in sales and marketing.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Earned doctorate or a terminal degree. Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and high quality research.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Applicants must have experience teaching at the college level and demonstrate skills consistent with teaching excellence and instructional innovation.
  • Industry experience is a plus but not required.
