Visual and Digital Communications Intern

The Opportunity

This role is critical for our community engagement and to ensure that affected communities understand our services and activities. The Visual and Digital Communications Intern is contributing to implementation of communications strategy and is responsible for the active presence of Save the Children Türkiye across digital platforms and social media. The post holder will also work on development graphic design materials.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

  • University degree or equivalent experience in graphic design, journalism, media, communications or similar discipline.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written Turkish and English to provide outputs for a wide range of different audiences.
  • One year of professional experience in communications, multimedia, journalism, visual and digital or traditional media or external communications work
  • Knowledge of graphic design and/or video editing software
  • Can produce accurate, clear and consistent information and communication outputs relating to both program support and humanitarian situation
  • Proven ability to work with communities and partners to gather content on the humanitarian situation and on programs.
  • Experience and understanding of the situation in Türkiye, including the sensitivities
  • High level of spoken and written Arabic is highly desirable.
  • Prior knowledge of social media management platforms such as Hootsuite, Sprout Social etc. is highly desirable.

Position holder will be based in İstanbul, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application.
