Grace Community School is seeking a Visual Communications Coordinator to help tell the school's story. The right person for this work will love the Lord, have a passion to see His Kingdom furthered through Christian education, and be adept at communicating the unique mission and vision of Grace through all forms of social media, videography, and photography. The purpose of telling this story is to glorify God, edify others, and engage the school community and the general public in the work of Grace.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Photography and videography skills, creative direction, and production. Graphic design experience is a plus.
- Create, design, and implement internal and external visual communications, ensuring clarity and consistency in branding and positioning, with a clear identity that reflects the school’s mission, vision, values, and philosophy.
- Responsible for school promotion of key differentiators through the use of photography, storytelling, video, and visuals for social media outlets.
- Manage videography and develop strategy, plan, and execution for video integration on website and social media outlets.
- Translates established marketing objectives and strategies into tangible visual communications to promote the school.
- Possesses comprehensive knowledge of developing and executing communications and marketing strategies, including experience with web-based initiatives and social media.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be a team player who collaborates effectively with colleagues and contributes to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Articulates brand benefits and presents the uniqueness of GCS in a positive manner to differentiate school programs from our competitors.
- Maintain common and consistent editorial and graphic standards.
- Lifting equipment, boxes, and other packages not exceeding 40 lbs.; cognitive and hearing abilities; significant computer work.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in communication, photography, design, and/or public relations is required.
- Knowledge and use of industry-standard (Adobe) graphics and computer technology, social media, and excellent writing skills required.
- Must possess the personal skills necessary to work effectively with all levels of constituencies.
- Ability to conceive and communicate creative ideas and strategies in visual communications.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing sophisticated video and photography media.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Strong organizational skills that will effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Demonstrated expertise in photography, videography, and social media.
- Must be energetic, organized, forward-thinking, and creative.
