Voice Teacher

Seeking a voice teacher to teach singers Grades 3 through Adult with specific availability on Saturday afternoons / evenings with the potential opportunity to grow studio / days teaching long term.

Requirements are listed below. Instructors do have to play piano for their lessons but will not be asked to accompany performances, an accompanist will be provided.

Pay is $40+ per hour, commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

• Masters in Music with a concentration in Vocal Pedagogy (or equivalent). Open to hiring someone with just an Undergraduate music degree as long as they have extensive pedagogical and teaching experience.
• Be able to play scales, basic melodies, and basic chords in the context of a lesson & repertoire.
• At least 2-3 years of teaching experience. Preference for 5+ years.
• Car / Ability to get to job on time.

Bonus:

• Good knowledge of musical theater repertoire & styles.
• Good knowledge of contemporary popular music styles
• Play piano accompaniments.
• Have worked with children before.
