VP Digital Transformation & Innovation

About the Role

To oversee the planning, prioritization, and execution of the digital transformation portfolio, innovation programs, enterprise digital architecture, and data platforms, ensuring coordinated and measurable business impact across all airport stakeholders. The role provides executive leadership and strategic direction across digital delivery, innovation, emerging technologies, architecture, and data domains, acting as the primary authority for digital value realization, transformation governance, and innovation enablement.

Responsibilities

• Define and continuously evolve the enterprise Digital Transformation and Innovation vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with corporate strategy and corporate priorities.
• Provide executive oversight and governance of the digital transformation portfolio, ensuring that investment prioritization, sequencing, and value realization are aligned with enterprise objectives and risk appetite.
• Act as the executive sponsor for strategic digital and innovation initiatives, ensuring business case integrity, delivery assurance, and measurable impact.
• Establish enterprise-wide digital governance frameworks, including the creation of a Data hub and data management office, transformation standards, and innovation management models to ensure disciplined, scalable, and value-driven execution.
• Drive enterprise modernization through coordinated digital initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, service quality, customer experience, and new value creation opportunities.
• Oversee and steer innovation and emerging technology programs to ensure structured experimentation, controlled risk-taking, and scalable adoption of high impact solutions.
• Ensure effective integration between innovation, architecture, data, and delivery functions to enable smooth transition from concept and pilot to enterprise deployment.
• Provide the executive leadership with transparent, data driven insights on digital portfolio performance, transformation progress, innovation outcomes, and value realization.
• Strengthen enterprise digital maturity through capability building, operating model evolution, and adoption of international best practices in digital and innovation governance.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships and ecosystem relationships with technology leaders, innovation hubs, startups, academia, and industry bodies to enhance competitive positioning.
• Ensure that digital transformation initiatives are supported by robust change management, adoption frameworks, and stakeholder engagement models to maximize organizational uptake and benefits realization.
• Lead and develop the Digital Transformation & Innovation organization to ensure high leadership capability, succession readiness, and sustainable delivery capacity.
• Govern major digital investment proposals and transformation business cases prior to executive submission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Demonstrated track record in airport industry digital and technology environments, with strong understanding of airport operations, passenger systems, operational technologies, and aviation ecosystem stakeholders.
• Proven leadership experience managing large digital portfolios and cross-functional transformation programs in airports.
• Demonstrated experience leading digital strategy, innovation programs, and enterprise technology modernization initiatives.
• Experience working with executive leadership and enterprise governance forums.
• Strong understanding of aviation digital platforms, data ecosystems, enterprise architecture, and emerging technologies.
