Position Overview:

As a member of the legal department, the Vice President, Government Compliance shall be responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing the company’s government compliance framework to ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and government contract requirements. This role provides strategic leadership, risk-based compliance guidance, and serves as a key advisor to executive leadership on regulatory and government-related matters impacting the business and its subsidiaries.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive government compliance program, including policies, procedures, training, and monitoring activities.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and proactively assess their impact on business operations; recommend and implement necessary changes.
  • Provide strategic and practical compliance advice to executive leadership and senior business stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal, Operations, Internal Audit, Finance, HR Operations, and external advisors to ensure an integrated compliance approach.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including government contracting, ethics, trade compliance, environmental, labor and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies, regulators, and auditors on compliance-related matters.

  • Exhibits the utmost professionalism in all settings and is capable of deploying strong advocacy skills in a tactful and effective manner.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in government compliance, regulatory affairs, legal or risk management, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree.
  • Experience working with U.S. federal and state regulatory agencies.
  • Licensed to practice law in Washington, DC or the State of Nevada, including as in-house counsel.

  • Basic proficiency in MS Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed and able to work without direct supervision on assigned projects and tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel to the Company’s locations (Las Vegas, Washington, DC or Dallas, Texas) or as otherwise needed.
