Summary:


The Vice President, HR Business Partner & Talent Acquisition, Retail is a senior people leader responsible for shaping and delivering a positive, inclusive, and engaging employee experience across Sephora’s retail organization. This role serves as a strategic advisor to Retail leadership, aligning people strategies with business priorities to attract, develop, engage, and retain top retail talent.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Talent & HR, this role leads the Retail HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams, driving enterprise-level HR initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, enable organizational transformation, and support business performance. As a trusted partner to senior retail leaders, the VP oversees a team of 34 ensuring people strategies are scalable, data-informed, and deeply connected to the needs of employees and the business.


Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a strategic HR partner to Retail leadership, developing and executing people strategies aligned with business objectives and growth priorities
  • Partner closely with Head of Employee Relations and Labor Relations Leaders to ensure the Retail HR function is serving as a trusted advisor to senior retail leaders on talent management, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Lead and evolve the Retail HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams to deliver high-impact, consistent, and scalable HR solutions
  • Drive organizational transformation and change management initiatives that support retail strategy and enhance employee experience
  • Partner with retail leadership to assess employee engagement trends across stores and proactively shape people strategies that build trust, transparency, and strong leader–employee relationships
  • Oversee end-to-end talent acquisition for Retail, ensuring effective sourcing, recruitment, and hiring strategies that attract diverse, high-quality talent
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Retail people organization
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing HR and TA leaders, with a focus on succession planning and leadership capability
  • Travel to stores, regional meetings, and corporate office as required (approximately 10%)


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including significant experience supporting retail or multi-site organizations
  • Demonstrated success leading strategic HR initiatives that improve employee engagement and business outcomes
  • Proven experience advising senior leaders and influencing at the executive level
  • Experience leading and developing HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams in complex environments
  • Key competencies: Strategic Vision, Drives Results, Engages & Inspires, Client Focus, Collaborates, Agility and comfortable managing ambiguity
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

What You’ll Get:

The annual base salary range for this position is $274,000.00 - $294,000.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. This job will be posted for a minimum of five days.
