Responsibilities

As the VP of Operations, you will be responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the company. Your key duties will include:
- Developing and implementing operational strategies, policies, and procedures to support the company’s strategic goals.
- Leading, mentoring, and developing the operations teams to foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Overseeing the daily workflow of key business functions, including mortgage processing and client services, to ensure targets are met.
- Analysing operational processes and identifying opportunities for enhancement, automation, and increased efficiency.
- Managing departmental budgets, forecasting requirements, and ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Ensuring full compliance with all relevant financial regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborating with other executive team members to align operational activities with broader business objectives.
- Monitoring and reporting on operational performance, using data-driven insights to guide decision-making.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of industry expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision. Key qualifications include:
- Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role, such as Director or VP of Operations, preferably within the mortgage or financial services industry.
- A comprehensive understanding of mortgage industry processes and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong strategic planning and business development capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a talent for process optimisation.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial analysis.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required; an MBA is highly desirable.
