Overview

OpenText is seeking a Vice President, Professional Services Delivery for the Middle East and Africa. The role will lead the implementation of OpenText software solutions in the Middle East and Africa, report to the SVP of Professional Services, and serve as an integral member of the senior leadership team.

As a front-facing role with customers, the VP will manage projects in the region, develop project management policies, handle customer escalations, integrate into the sales bid process, and perform revenue and margin forecasting. The position requires hands-on leadership, managing multiple projects and customers, guiding program managers, and advancing OpenText Professional Services practices.

Compensation and Location OpenText locations include Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and other regional offices as applicable. This role is based in the Middle East and Africa region and requires leadership of regional delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery or revenue and margin target in Middle East and Africa
• Provide strategic vision and implementation of the project management for professional services in the Middle East and Africa Region
• Manage a team of Project Managers working on customer projects
• Main connection for practice leadership on staffing and delivering projects in the region
• Manage customer escalations on projects
• Forecast and take responsibility for revenue generation
• Manage external consultants for project management
• Ensure bid review and cost estimates for programs

Desired Outcomes

• Ownership of the project management practice, revenue generated, and bid/scoping process
• Implement global thought leadership to improve practices and functions of PS delivery
• Drive margin and efficiency, standardizing delivery and practices
• Enhance communication with OpenText customers through the project process
• Improve awareness of troubled programs and proactively manage risk and communication

This leader should possess the gravitas and presence to engage with customer escalations and executive-level contacts (VP-C level).

Ideal Experience

Experience delivering complex software professional services with a passion for results.

• PMP certification
• Proven ability to plan, implement, and deliver software solutions to Fortune 500 companies
• Experience managing complex requirements and customers

Leadership and Organizational Skills

• Experience organizing resources from both project management and technical personnel

Experience Managing Complex Projects and Teams

• 10+ years of managing global and remote teams for professional services on enterprise software solutions
• Ability to identify, retain, and grow talent
• Requirements negotiation skills
