About the Position
This assignment will be responsible for, but not limited to, leading engineering functions pertaining to the development, implementation, and maintenance of improved processes and solutions. The job will lead engineering functions such as the Labor Management System (LMS) as well as the Kenco Operating System (KOS) at existing Kenco operations to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness. The role, in collaboration with our Innovation Lab, and BI (Business Intelligence) and Advanced Analytics team, will also keep a good pulse on new and emerging solutions and technologies and will take a forward-thinking approach for their application.
Additionally, this role will provide required support on different strategic, tactical, and operational company initiatives to develop new markets, products, and services to help achieve the company’s growth and profitability plans.
This role is also directing engineering teams to be best-in-class, by focusing on process, people and service. The focus is on ensuring consistent professional execution of projects and the development of the individuals in the group, by integrating standard processes and building skillsets in engineering, project management and communication.
Functions

Provide engineering solution strategy and guidance to SVP - Supply Chain Solutions, Kenco’s Senior Leadership team and the broader Kenco organization

Improve productivity of the workforce through current technology enablement, training, process improvement and identifying best practices (e.g., 5S and Lean Methodology)

Manage, mentor, develop and lead engineering teams to help perform project work as well as strengthen the teams on an ongoing basis.

Collaborate with other parts of the Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) team, cross-functional teams as well as external partners to help implement different strategic, tactical, and operational projects and assist with associated change management

Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to enhance KOS program and help with KOS assessments across different Kenco operations

Upgrade the Labor Management Program, develop implementation roadmap, and implement and help maintain it at various Kenco operations

Support implementation of solutions by maintaining, changing, and updating solution designs as business requirements change. Work with operations and implementation teams to ensure the designs are implemented as planned such that the intended value and efficiency are realized by Kenco and its clients

Lead the development and implementation of training materials and standardized tools for lean, six sigma, advanced engineering methodologies, and different types of distribution solutions

Support development of case studies and presentation materials to convey the organization's capabilities, unique solutions and associated value propositions, and Kenco’s approach to tackling customer supply chain challenges.

Make presentations to key internal and external stakeholders

Promote out-of-the-box thinking and continuously generate new ideas to improve processes, service, efficiency, quality, and cost with a focus on automation and digitization of different processes and activities
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics/ Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Management, or a related engineering or quantitative field.

Master’s degree preferred
-
15-17 years in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 10 years focused on solution design, continuous process improvement, and/or consulting

10 years of managing distributed work teams, with demonstrated success of building, developing and promoting talent

Demonstrated experience of leading projects which require a significant amount of influencing cross functional stakeholders in order to meet shared goals.

Experience in 3PLs or supply chain consulting companies preferred

Travel Requirements
