The Vice President Value Creation (M&A) is a strategic and execution-focused leader responsible for end-to-end delivery of strategy and execution of projects, including scoping, planning and driving results in high-pressure environments.
This role is accountable for identifying, quantifying, and realizing synergies across acquired businesses while building scalable value creation playbooks that drive repeatable success. The VP serves as a critical bridge between deal strategy and operational execution, ensuring that investment theses translate into measurable financial and operational outcomes.
Operating in a fast-paced, global environment, this leader partners with executive leadership, deal teams, and operating companies to deliver rapid EBITDA impact, sustainable growth, and enterprise-wide synergies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Pre-Acquisition Value Strategy & Diligence

Partner with M&A deal teams to shape investment theses and validate value creation opportunities during due diligence

Lead commercial, operational, and cost synergy identification across targets, including:

Revenue growth (cross-sell, pricing, customer expansion)

Cost optimization (procurement, network efficiency, SG&A)

Operational scalability (technology, processes, shared services)
-
Develop quantified synergy models, including timing, risk factors, and investment requirements

Assess integration complexity, cultural alignment, and execution risks to inform deal decisions.

Design and lead integration strategies and execution roadmaps aligned to deal objectives.

Partner with functional leaders (Operations, Sales, Finance, IT, HR) to execute integration priorities

Ensure alignment between ICAT standards and acquired company capabilities while preserving value drivers
Synergy Execution & Value Realization

Own end-to-end delivery of synergy initiatives from identification through implementation and tracking

Translate strategic initiatives into clear execution plans with defined owners, milestones, and KPIs
-
Drive rapid realization of “quick wins” while managing longer-term transformation initiatives

Embed accountability across business units to ensure delivery of committed value
Portfolio Performance & Continuous Value Creation

Partner with leadership across acquired entities to optimize performance post-integration

Identify ongoing opportunities for:

Margin expansion

Network optimization

Digital enablement and automation
-
Customer and product innovation
-
Lead cross-portfolio initiatives to unlock scale advantages and shared capabilities

Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders to continuously enhance enterprise value
Value Creation Playbook & Capability Building

Develop and institutionalize ICAT’s M&A Value Creation Playbook, including:

Diligence frameworks
-
Synergy identification methodologies
-
Integration best practices
-
KPI and tracking standards
-
Build repeatable tools, templates, and governance models to improve speed and consistency

Capture lessons learned and continuously refine M&A and integration processes
Governance, Reporting & Stakeholder Alignment

Establish portfolio-wide dashboards to track synergy realization, integration progress, and ROI
-
Provide clear, data-driven reporting to executive leadership and investors
-
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across ICAT and acquired companies
-
Communicate complex insights into clear, actionable recommendations
-
Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications & Skill Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field required
-
MBA or advanced degree preferred
-
12+ years of relevant experience in Strategy, M&A or value creation, preferably within a private equity or consulting environment
-
Demonstrated success leading post-merger integration and value creation initiatives
-
Proven track record delivering quantifiable EBITDA impact and synergy realization
-
Experience within transportation, logistics, or supply chain strongly preferred

Experience operating in a global, multi-entity environment

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products
