VPK Preschool Teacher

Hagios Early Learning Center is an APPLE accredited, academically-driven preschool. Our goal is to have our VPK students reading or reading ready before leaving our preschool program. We are looking for a VPK Preschool Teacher to prepare small children for kindergarten by easing them into organized education. You will teach them important elements that they will encounter soon after they enter school life. A preschool teacher must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education. Must have completed the required DCF 45 hours with completion of the VPK certification courses. A CDA or an FCCPC credential is required and you must be able to teach a state-approved curriculum. You must also have two years of verifiable VPK teaching experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
