VPK Substitute Teacher | Part-Time or Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Weekends & Holidays Off

At Wee Care Child Care Center, we’ve been nurturing and educating children since 1981. Located in Tallahassee, Florida, we’re a faith-based, non-profit organization committed to providing a safe, loving, and high-quality learning environment for children from infants through VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten).

We’re looking for someone passionate, dependable, and excited to make a difference in the lives of young children. This VPK Substitute Teacher role is perfect for someone who loves working with preschoolers, can adapt quickly, and enjoys being part of a supportive, purpose-driven team.

Position Highlights

• Serve as a substitute in our VPK classrooms
• Support teachers during planning, afternoon, and closing routines
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for all children
• Supervise and guide play, learning, and daily activities both indoors and outdoors
• Step in as needed to assist in different classrooms
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space
• Model professionalism and teamwork every day

We’re Looking for Someone Who:

• Has patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
• Can adapt quickly and think on their feet
• Works well with others and supports a positive classroom culture
• Maintains a neat and professional appearance
• Is dependable, trustworthy, and eager to learn

Qualifications:

• Ability to pass a background screening
• Previous childcare or classroom experience preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
• Must be willing to work with children of all ages when needed
