WAITER / WAITRESS – JOB DESCRIPTION

Location: Sharjah, UAE
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Restaurant Supervisor / Floor Manager

Position Summary:

The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by providing a warm welcome, accurate order taking, efficient service, and ensuring an outstanding dining experience. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Present menus and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages promptly, following proper service sequence and standards.
• Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and ready for the next guests.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Process payments accurately and maintain cash handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
• Follow all hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
• Support other team members as needed to maintain service flow.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a casual or fine dining restaurant.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service and multitasking abilities.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and order-taking.
• Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.
