Waiter

Responsibilities:

- **Customer Service:** Greet and seat customers promptly, present menus, and answer questions regarding menu items, specials, and beverages.

- **Order Taking:** Accurately take customer orders, input them into the POS system, and relay them to the kitchen staff.

- **Serving:** Deliver food and beverages to customers in a timely manner, ensuring that all orders are correct and meet the café's standards.

- **Table Management:** Monitor tables to anticipate customer needs, provide refills, clear finished dishes, and reset tables for the next guests.

- **Sales:** Upsell additional products and menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.

- **Cleanliness:** Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the dining area, service stations, and restrooms. Follow all health and safety regulations.

- **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with kitchen staff, baristas, and other team members to ensure efficient and smooth service.

- **Cash Handling:** Process payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and balance the cash register at the end of the shift.

- **Problem Resolution:** Address customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.

#### Requirements:

- **Experience:** Previous experience as a waiter/waitress in a high-volume café or restaurant is preferred.

- **Skills:** Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong multitasking abilities, and a keen attention to detail.

- **Physical Demands:** Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.

- **Appearance:** Professional appearance and adherence to the café’s dress code.

- **Availability:** Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
