Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and guest focused Food & Beverage Waiter to join our premium Japanese fine dining team. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who is committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences and upholding the highest standards of service excellence. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to guest engagement, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced luxury dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and dining experiences.
• Manage an assigned dining section independently.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Prepare restaurant opening and service setups.
• Ensure tables, furniture, and service stations are presentation-ready.
• Accurately process guest orders using Micros POS.
• Coordinate effectively with kitchen and bar teams.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally.
• Upsell wines, sake, premium beverages, and menu items.
• Minimize spoilage, breakages, and operational waste.
• Support smooth day-to-day restaurant operations.
• Handle guest requests and resolve service issues promptly.
• Maintain health and safety standards at all times.
• Perform effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment.
• Collaborate with Front-of-House and Food & Beverage teams to achieve service excellence.
  
  

Qualifications

• Secondary school education or equivalent.
• Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism, or Food & Beverage certifications are an advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of Head Waiter experience in a 5-star hotel, Michelin awarded restaurant, or high end dining establishment.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Proficient in Food & Beverage operational systems, including Micros and Seven Rooms.
• Strong upselling skills with the ability to promote beverages and premium products to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
