Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales while catering to guests’ preferences
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area to ensure a pristine environment
- Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Foster guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and cashiering procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to handle multiple tables simultaneously with effective time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with upselling techniques to increase sales while enhancing guest experiences
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and order processing
- Previous host/host or serving experience preferred; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus
- Knowledge of reservation platforms like OpenTable and restaurant management tools such as Food industry software is advantageous
