Job Summary

The Waiter will be responsible for delivering professional food and beverage service while ensuring an outstanding dining experience for every guest. The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with hotel service standards.
• Set up and prepare dining areas before service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining tables and service stations.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve service-related concerns.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Process bills and payments when required.
• Assist with banquet and special event services as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a waiter in a hotel or restaurant.
• Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel is preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Qualifications

• Matric is preferred.
• Certificate or diploma in Food & Beverage Service or Hospitality will be an advantage.
