Job Title: Waiter / Assistant Waiter
Place of Work: Laysen Valley, Umm Al Hamam, Riyadh
Monthly Salary: SAR 1,800++ to SAR 2,500++

Job Summary: To deliver exceptional guest service by providing an elegant, professional, and personalized dining experience. Waiters and Assistant Waiters ensure all guests are welcomed, served promptly, and attended to with courtesy, precision, and attention to detail — maintaining the fine dining standards and reputation of the restaurant.
Responsibilities:
1. Guest Service Excellence
- Greet guests warmly, escort them to their tables, and present menus professionally.
- Maintain full product knowledge of all menu items, wines, and beverages.
- Take and confirm guest orders accurately, ensuring special requests or dietary requirements are clearly communicated to the kitchen and bar.
- Serve food and beverages following fine dining etiquette and sequence of service.
- Anticipate guest needs — refilling water, clearing plates, and resetting cutlery discreetly.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries, complaints, or feedback, and report issues to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Ensure every guest leaves satisfied with a memorable dining experience.
2. Preparation & Setup
- Prepare tables according to restaurant standards (linen, glassware, silverware, centerpieces).
- Check the cleanliness and readiness of dining areas before service.
- Stock and organize service stations with necessary supplies.
- Assist in mise en place for service (napkin folds, polish glassware and cutlery, condiments, etc.).
3. Order Taking & Coordination
- Use POS systems accurately to input orders.
- Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and runners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of dishes.
- Verify all orders before serving to ensure presentation, temperature, and accuracy meet restaurant standards.
4. Service Execution
- Follow the proper fine dining sequence: greeting, seating, water service, order taking, serving, clearing, and closing.
- Present dishes and beverages with detailed descriptions.
- Perform silent, efficient pre-bussing and table maintenance during meals.
- Maintain awareness of guests’ pace to ensure smooth timing between courses.
- Assist in wine service under the supervision of the sommelier or head waiter.
5. Closing Duties
- Clear and reset tables efficiently after guests depart.
- Assist in end-of-shift cleaning and closing checklists.
- Restock service stations and prepare for the next shift.
- Ensure accurate billing and assist in settling payments courteously.
Basic Requirements:
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (Hospitality certificate preferred).
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a fine dining or luxury hotel restaurant.
- POS system knowledge preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent presentation, grooming, and etiquette.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Knowledge of wines, beverages, and food pairing desirable.
