Waiter/Waitress

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to join our team at Honada Sushi and Hibachi. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage various tasks will contribute to a positive shopping experience for all patrons.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming and taking customers’ food and drink orders
• Collaborating with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct delivery of orders
• Memorizing the menu and delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
• Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant
• Setting tables and rearranging the dining area to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special events
• Preparing the restaurant to open and/or close by following side-job responsibilities such as filling ice, condiment containers, and folding napkin-settings

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience as a waiter/waitress is preferred
• Proficiency in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse customers.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering processes is highly desirable.
• High level of stamina to work to work on feet for extended periods
