Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Guest Interaction: Welcome, seat, and engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Order Management: Take orders accurately (using notepad or device) and communicate them clearly to the kitchen staff.
  • Menu Expertise: Learn the menu in-depth to offer recommendations and upsell specials, appetizers, or drinks.
  • Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages efficiently and ensure guest needs are met throughout the meal.
  • Payment Processing: Present checks, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions.
  • Table Maintenance: Clear tables, reset them, and ensure the dining area is clean and presentable.
  • Teamwork: Coordinate with kitchen staff, hosts, and other servers.
