A waitress job involves

greeting guests, seating them, taking food/drink orders, relaying them to the kitchen, serving meals, checking on diners, handling payments, and maintaining clean tables, all while providing excellent customer service, memorizing menus, and working as part of a team to create a pleasant dining experience. Key skills include communication, patience, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Guest Interaction: Welcome, seat, and engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Order Management: Take orders accurately (using notepad or device) and communicate them clearly to the kitchen staff.
• Menu Expertise: Learn the menu in-depth to offer recommendations and upsell specials, appetizers, or drinks.
• Service Delivery: Serve food and beverages efficiently and ensure guest needs are met throughout the meal.
• Payment Processing: Present checks, process payments, and handle cash or card transactions.
• Table Maintenance: Clear tables, reset them, and ensure the dining area is clean and presentable.
• Teamwork: Coordinate with kitchen staff, hosts, and other servers.
