Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly, professional introduction to the restaurant experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Assist guests with menu selections, including recommendations for wine pairings or specials, utilizing upselling techniques to enhance sales
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures throughout service
• Support kitchen staff by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and managing guest needs promptly

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub experience
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations in the food industry
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Previous host/hostess experience or serving background is highly desirable
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
• Experience with OpenTable reservations system is a plus
