Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Assist guests with menu selections, answer questions about food and beverage options, and promote specials when appropriate
• Take accurate orders from guests, relay them promptly to the kitchen, and ensure timely service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining areas to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation
• Handle guest inquiries via phone with courteous phone etiquette, providing information and assistance as needed
• Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest experiences from seating to serving and checkout
• Support servers during busy periods by delivering food and beverages when necessary, demonstrating teamwork in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members
• Knowledge of restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
• Previous hotel or guest services experience is advantageous but not mandatory
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong interpersonal skills are key for success in this role
