Walk-In Inventory Intern - (B.Sc. Computer Science Graduate)

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Inventory Data Management

• Record incoming and outgoing raw materials, parts, and finished goods.
• Update stock levels in the inventory management system or ERP software.
• Assist in digital tracking of machinery components and spare parts.

2. Stock Monitoring

• Help monitor stock levels and alert supervisors for reorder requirements.
• Support in conducting daily/weekly stock counts.
• Verify physical stock against system records (stock reconciliation).

3. System and Software Support

• Enter inventory data into ERP, Excel, or in-house inventory software.
• Assist with barcode scanning systems or digital tagging tools.
• Help troubleshoot inventory system errors or mismatches.

4. Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare basic reports on inventory usage, movement, and trends.
• Maintain organized digital records of stock receipts and issues.
• Document any discrepancies in stock or damage during handling.

5. Process Support

• Assist in labeling, tagging, or storing machinery parts as per SOPs.
• Support inventory cycle counts and physical audits.
• Follow safety and handling procedures while working around machinery parts.

6. Coordination

• Coordinate with procurement and production teams for stock availability.
• Communicate with vendors or logistics teams if required for stock queries.
• Support warehouse staff with system-related issues or updates.

Who We’re Looking For

• Recent B.Sc. Computer Science graduate Only
• Strong interest in inventory systems, data handling, and business processes.

✅ Skills & Qualities Expected from Freshers

• Basic understanding of inventory processes or logistics
• Good knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas)
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Willingness to learn ERP or inventory systems (SAP, Tally, etc.)
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Problem-solving mindset, especially for data discrepancies
