- Collection Officer Job Description
A Collection Officer is responsible for recovering overdue payments from customers while maintaining positive client relationships and following company policies and legal regulations.
- Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers by phone, email, or letter regarding overdue accounts
- Negotiate payment plans and settlement options
- Monitor customer accounts and track outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities
- Follow up on promised payments
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
- Prepare reports on collection status and recovery performance
- Ensure compliance with debt collection laws and company procedures
- Escalate unresolved accounts when necessary
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic accounting and financial knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collection software
- Ability to handle difficult conversations professionally
- Time management and organizational skills
- Minimum 5 years experience in collection
- Immediate joining with NOC Prefered
- Qatar Driving license mandatory
