Ward Boy

Job Summary

The Ward Boy supports nursing staff in providing basic patient care, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the hospital ward.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, stretchers, and trolleys
• Help patients with basic needs such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and toileting as instructed by nursing staff
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of wards, beds, and patient areas
• Transport patients for tests, procedures, and between departments
• Deliver samples, reports, medicines, and medical supplies within the hospital
• Assist nurses during procedures when required
• Change bed linen and ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste
• Follow hospital infection control and safety guidelines
• Respond promptly to patient calls and emergencies
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum education: 8th / 10th pass (as per hospital policy)
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions
• Physically fit and able to lift/move patients
• Basic knowledge of hospital hygiene and safety practices
• Good communication and cooperative attitude

Experience

• Fresher or prior hospital experience preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹16,000.00 per month
