Warehouse - Afternoon Shift

Warehouse Associate

Position Summary

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse duties including order picking, stocking, receiving, loading, and general warehouse support. Employees in this role may work in different areas of the warehouse as operational needs require and are expected to assist with various warehouse functions to support efficient operations.

Requirements and Skills

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; basic math skills required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment is preferred.
  • Strong work ethic with demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
  • Flexible and willing to work in multiple areas of the warehouse as operational needs require.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Locate and retrieve products using the Pick Right system.
  • Use handheld scanning devices to scan barcodes, pick items, and complete orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Prepare boxes and packages properly for customer delivery.
  • Scan, locate, and stock inventory in the appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Receive and process incoming deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Assist in various warehouse functions including picking, receiving, stocking, loading, and other operational duties as assigned.
  • Rotate work assignments and support multiple areas of the warehouse during the shift.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, ladders, and other tools safely and in accordance with company procedures and training.
  • Back up 16'–26' box trucks or vans for loading when required.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and report malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, health policies, and quality standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned based on operational and business needs.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and repetitive hand and arm movements.
  • Ability to climb step ladders and work at varying heights when necessary.

Additional Information

This position is part of a collective bargaining unit.
