Warehouse Associate

Overview

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our growing home décor wholesale operation in Blissfield, Michigan. This role is responsible for assisting with daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, inventory management, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, motivated, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods safely within the warehouse.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using order picker equipment and proper packaging techniques.
• Manage shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
• Assist with order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms by accurately selecting items based on customer orders.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels
• Support warehouse distribution efforts by organizing stock and preparing items for dispatch.
• Load and unload trucks while adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents or damages.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies promptly to supervisors.

Skills

• Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, order picking & packing, and inventory stocking.
• Knowledge of e-commerce order fulfillment processes and warehouse distribution practices.
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items safely.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and inventory management.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across departments.
