Warehouse Associate/Driver

About the Position:

The ideal candidate will have experience with both local and over-the-road (OTR) routes, as well as experience as either a solo driver or a company driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods, loading and unloading cargo, and ensuring that all deliveries are made on time. Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Drive a flatbed truck or van to transport goods and materials.
• Maintain records such as vehicle logs, delivery records, and billing statements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Load and unload cargo in a safe and efficient manner with forklifts.
• Ensure that cargo is properly secured in the vehicle.
• Communicate with the Warehouse Manager and other personnel to coordinate pickup and delivery times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
• Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc).
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner.

License/Certification:

• Valid Driver’s License (required).

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred, but not required).
• 2+ years of forklift experience.
• Experience with Bar Stock (preferred but not required).
• Flatbed experience.
• 2+ years of warehouse experience.
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
