The Warehouse & Dispatch Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse, receiving, and delivery operations. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials in and out of the facility while leading both warehouse staff and delivery drivers to achieve safe, accurate, and on-time performance. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position plays a key leadership role in driving operational efficiency, maintaining compliance, and fostering a high-performing, safety-focused team environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse & Inventory Operations

  • Oversee all receiving, storage, inventory control, and material flow processes
  • Ensure accurate unloading, inspection, staging, and reporting of incoming materials
  • Maintain proper storage, space utilization, and inventory rotation practices
  • Coordinate material supply to fabrication, staging, and outbound operations
  • Monitor documentation flow from receiving through inventory control to ensure accuracy

Dispatch & Delivery Management

  • Plan, schedule, and manage daily delivery routes and driver assignments
  • Optimize routing to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective deliveries
  • Track shipments, delivery schedules, and driver performance
  • Coordinate backhauls and returns to maximize operational efficiency
  • Communicate proactively with customers regarding delivery updates or issues

Leadership & Team Management

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop warehouse staff and drivers
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet operational demands
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure supervisors and team leads enforce company policies and procedures

Equipment & Facility Oversight

  • Manage warehouse equipment and fleet needs, including maintenance and utilization
  • Ensure safe operation of material handling equipment
  • Identify and plan for future equipment and facility needs in collaboration with leadership

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards
  • Lead safety training, observations, and incident investigations
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Performance & Financial Management

  • Support budget planning and cost control for warehouse and delivery operations
  • Monitor KPIs related to productivity, efficiency, and service levels
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance

QualificationsRequired Skills & Abilities

  • Strong leadership and team development experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics best practices
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations, route optimization, and delivery operations
  • Ability to interpret operational documents, reports, and safety procedures
  • Basic math skills and proficiency with tools and equipment

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or transportation management
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, climb, and lift materials
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Work performed in warehouse, loading areas, and occasional outdoor conditions
  • Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels and active work environments

Schedule

  • Full-time position, typically Monday–Friday
  • Flexibility required based on operational needs
