Santa Barbara Freight (SBF) is a logistics company specializing in the nationwide movement of cased wine and spirits. We’re looking for a dependable, team-oriented individual to join our Carrollton warehouse and freight operations team.

Position Overview

This full-time position (Sunday – Thursday, starting at 10 AM) is a hands-on role encompassing both warehouse operations and freight tracking. There is overtime required during busy periods. The role is demanding and requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Freight Operations:

• Consolidate, load, and unload freight in the warehouse and trailers
• Pull and build orders according to pick lists
• Verify and label all incoming and outgoing freight
• Maintain general warehouse housekeeping duties
• Operate forklifts (certified, doubles preferred) and other warehouse equipment safely
• Assist drivers with planning maintenance, dispatch, and other operational needs
• Plan trailer loads and cross-dock operations efficiently
• Prepare and submit all required paperwork accurately
• Monitor and maintain forklift safety and perform inspections

Track & Trace Duties:

• Maintain accurate documentation for all shipments
• Perform data entry for order and load tracking
• Update shipment status in company systems
• Communicate with carriers, drivers, supervisors, managers, and customers
• Notify customers of potential delays and provide updates
• Analyze logistics data to ensure operational efficiency

Requirements & Qualifications

• Dependable with strong attention to detail, self-motivated to perform
• Forklift certification/experience required
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and climbing
• Meet physical fitness standards for safe job performance
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
• Regular, predictable attendance
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Ability to coordinate with team members, temporary labor, other terminals, and management

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
