Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse & Inventory Operations Manager to oversee inventory management, warehouse operations, vendor relationships, and staff supervision across the warehouse location serving the automotive aftermarket industry. This position plays a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy, efficient order fulfillment, cost-effective purchasing, and exceptional customer service for nearly 100 automotive service accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Purchasing Management

  • Build and place weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory orders from multiple automotive industry suppliers based on inventory usage, stock coverage, and projected sales.
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain product availability while minimizing excess stock.
  • Manage aging inventory, stock rotation, vendor returns, and inventory transfers between warehouse locations.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Identify new product opportunities and obsolete inventory while staying current with industry trends and parts applications.

Vendor Relations

  • Maintain strong relationships with automotive supply vendors.
  • Negotiate cost-effective purchasing and freight solutions to reduce expenses and maximize profitability.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure timely processing of credits and returns.

Warehouse Operations

  • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming shipments while maintaining accurate records.
  • Supervise order fulfillment processes including picking, packing, labeling, staging, and shipping.
  • Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, Fire Marshal requirements, and safety standards.

Team Leadership

  • Schedule, train, coach, motivate, and evaluate warehouse personnel.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability, accuracy, and customer service.
  • Assist in developing procedures and training programs to improve operational performance.

Logistics & Customer Support

  • Coordinate with Operations Managers, Account Managers, and Delivery Drivers to optimize routes, delivery schedules, and customer satisfaction.
  • Occasionally assist with local deliveries using company-owned vehicles.
  • Collaborate with management at sister warehouse locations to coordinate inventory orders and transfers.

Equipment & Facility Maintenance

  • Oversee cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of warehouse equipment and company vehicles to include: Delivery vans, Forklifts, Pallet jacks, Rolling ladders, Fire extinguishers, Shelving and racking systems.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of warehouse, inventory, purchasing, or operations management experience.
  • Automotive aftermarket parts distribution or automotive service industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and inventory purchasing.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.

Skills

  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to analyze inventory trends and forecast purchasing needs.
  • Proficiency with inventory management and warehouse software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment or willingness to obtain certification.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
