Warehouse Lead

About The Role

We are looking for a dependable and experienced Warehouse Lead to support our lumping operations within a fast-paced 3PL warehouse environment in Ocala, FL. This role oversees a team of approximately 15–30 lumpers inside of the facility, rotating areas as needed based on workload. The Warehouse Lead ensures productivity, safety, and quality standards are met while communicating daily progress to onsite supervisors.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on floor operations—not administrative work.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

Lead and coordinate a team of 15–30 lumpers in unloading, loading, pallet breakdown, staging, and related tasks.

• Rotate between assigned warehouse areas depending on operational needs.
• Ensure team members understand task expectations and maintain a steady workflow.
• Support supervisors by providing real-time updates on progress, staffing, and any operational issues.
  
  

Performance & Reporting

• Conduct regular check-ins with employees to ensure productivity and adherence to standards.
• Report headcounts, load/unload numbers, and task completion status to supervisors throughout the shift.
• Communicate job related responsibilities and performance concerns directly to the Site Manager.
  
  

Safety & Cleanliness

• Enforce all warehouse safety rules and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure associates follow housekeeping standards.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors.
  
  

Communication

• Provide verbal updates to supervisors regarding workflow, staffing, and operational need
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in lumping, unloading/loading, or warehouse operations required.
• Previous leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to motivate and guide a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on work style.
• Reliable, safety focused, and able to adapt to shifting priorities.
