Warehouse Lead

Position Summary

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for directing workflow and overseeing the daily operations of warehouse employees to ensure productivity, accuracy, and safety.

Essential Duties:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Receive and address general employee inquiries; escalate to management as needed.

  • Ensure all assigned employees meet productivity and quality standards.

  • Oversee the proper completion of jobs and daily warehouse operations.

  • Assist employees with daily tasks as needed.

  • Communicate job expectations, processes, procedures, and requirements to new employees; lead training for new warehouse staff.

  • Advise employees on proper use of equipment for handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock.

  • Provide guidance on items received, stored, and shipped.

  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.

  • Communicate daily with supervisors regarding activities, issues, and progress.

  • Follow all safety rules and recommendations; demonstrate professionalism, mutual trust, and respect toward all employees.

  • Be reliable and willing to work overtime as needed.

  • Adhere to company quality, service, and procedural standards.

  • Comply with attendance and punctuality policies, including break and lunch schedules.

  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures consistently.

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 6 months of warehouse lead experience.

  • Ability to manage time and workload to accomplish tasks efficiently.

  • Ability to review paperwork and orders to ensure accuracy.

  • Strong communication skills, including email and phone correspondence.

  • Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Forklift certification required.

  • Bilingual skills preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or balance.

  • Frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

  • Frequent walking throughout the warehouse and surrounding areas.
