The Warehouse Manager ensures the smooth operation of our warehouse and production spaces, balancing hands-on physical work with organization, reporting, and volunteer engagement. This role maintains excellence in inventory control, safety, and distribution while fostering a welcoming environment for staff, volunteers, and partners.

The Warehouse Manager works closely with the Volunteer Coordinator, Executive Director, and Team Leads to support weekly operations, monthly events, and ongoing projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing of inventory in the warehouse, food rooms, and clothing areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including weekly reports and data entry.
  • Implement warehouse systems for safe handling, storage, and distribution of products.
  • Ensure the warehouse, food rooms, and courtyard remain clean, safe, and in compliance with Atlanta Community Food Bank standards.
  • Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to schedule, train, and oversee volunteers in warehouse and production areas.
  • Support StreetWise's monthly Mobile Food Pantry and other special events (Back-to-School and seasonal drives).
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings and collaborate with other departments to support organizational goals.
  • Ensure proper use and care of warehouse equipment (forklifts, vehicles, carts, etc.).
  • Communicate with leadership about facility, equipment, and supply needs.
  • Schedule deliveries and coordinate with corporate and nonprofit partners for donations, supply pickups, and drop-offs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for donation-related logistics, ensuring clear communication and smooth coordination with partners.


Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of warehouse management or inventory control experience required (nonprofit experience a plus).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; comfortable with basic data entry in Outlook, Excel, and program data tools.
  • Ability to lift, move, and organize materials up to 40 lbs. as part of daily operations.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong people skills; able to lead and work respectfully with volunteers, staff, and partners.
  • Forklift experience preferred (training available).
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work occasional extended hours.
