The Role
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The role involves managing staff, optimizing workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Key Responsibilities Operations Management • Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching. • Ensure goods are handled and stored safely and efficiently. • Plan and organize warehouse layout to maximize space utilization. • Implement and monitor KPIs for operational efficiency. Inventory Control • Maintain accurate real-time inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits. • Implement inventory management best practices to reduce discrepancies and damage. • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams regarding stock requirements and replenishments. Team Leadership • Supervise warehouse staff and allocate workloads effectively. • Train and mentor team members on warehouse processes, equipment operation, and safety. • Conduct performance evaluations and enforce company policies. Safety & Compliance • Ensure compliance with UAE health, safety, and environmental regulations. • Monitor and enforce safety protocols (PPE use, equipment handling, fire safety, storage guidelines). • Maintain all necessary documentation for inspections and audits. Logistics & Coordination • Coordinate with transport partners for timely deliveries and collections. • Liaise with internal departments (Sales, Procurement, Operations) to ensure smooth workflow. • Resolve logistical issues, delays, or discrepancies. Systems & Reporting • Operate and manage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP platforms. • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports. • Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation of new technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. • 5+ years of warehouse or logistics management experience (UAE/GCC experience preferred). • Strong knowledge of WMS/ERP systems. • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Familiarity with UAE labor laws and HSE regulations. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
