Warehouse Manager

Overview
Northern Plains Distributing is seeking a warehouse manager to join our team and direct all operations within our Distribution Center in Milwaukee, WI. This is a hands-on physical position. The Warehouse Manager will work alongside while managing and overseeing warehouse and truck driving staff. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail oriented, able to multitask, direct, and manage while meeting customer satisfaction standards.

Objectives of this Role:

· Oversee all daily warehouse operations while working alongside our warehouse staff

· Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees while establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.

· Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals

· Maintain a safe, clean, organized, work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

· Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, space management, floor productivity, loading and unloading trucks, shipping, receiving, and managing customer will call pickups

· Oversee warehouse and driving team to meet and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime

· Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance

· Meet regularly with warehouse team members to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention

· Perform regular inventory counts and perform occasional customer deliveries

Skills and Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED

· 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse lead role managing employees

· Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities

· Ability to work with all levels of company staff

· Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback

· Must be able to load, unload, push, pull, lift and cart up to 150 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the shift

· Must be able operate a forklift, pallet jack, and handcart dolly

· Must have valid drivers license and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
