Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for planning, directing and monitoring the warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and tools return.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plans and directs the work activities of warehouse operations including receiving, picking, shipping, delivery and inventory control.
  • Plan, direct and monitor the transport activities ensuring goods and materials are transported safely, compliantly and cost-effectively.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities including developing schedules, methods and routes; analyzing cost and metrics; and coordinating customs clearances and permits.
  • Analyze inventory levels and material demand to ensure material availability and minimize inventory costs in alignment with business strategy.
  • Lead and manage annual full physical inventory.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service department to coordinate transport and distribution schedules with current and anticipated orders/demands.
  • Negotiate transportation rates with carriers and third-party services, and monitors expected results.
  • Analyze and report the financial impact of proposed logistical changes such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
  • Drive continuous improvement to safety, quality, cost and delivery while growing and expanding capabilities within the warehouse.
  • Oversee the hiring, training and performance management of assigned personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations relating to domestic and international transportation and logistics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain, transportation or another relevant field required.
  • Master’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
  • 8+ years of management experience in warehouse operations or logistics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in domestic and international shipping and distribution.
  • Demonstrated organizational and management experience, including process improvement techniques.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
