Job Purpose

The Logistics Specialist at Herc Rentals will play an important role in supporting a variety of complex projects in collaboration with branch operations, fleet planning and safety. Key activities of this position include; data compilation, data analytics of shipments, communication skills internally and externally, resolving billing issues and payments

What You Will Do...

• Assist with the implementation of a company-wide freight program encompassing all 3rd party logistics providers
• Monitor internal and Supplier compliance to the Herc freight program and other performance measurements
• Provide support with scheduling and monitoring rental equipment movements
• Gathers, collects, records, tracks and verifies data and information from multiple sources
• Escalate issues internally and externally when needed to resolve issues
• Support the freight bill audit and pay process; in house and outsourced
• May involve special projects and ad hoc assignments
• Maintains files, logs and other related documentation
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred
• Equipment industry experience desirable
  
  

Skills

• Team player with initiative and a positive attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English – both verbal and written)
• Understands basic concepts of supply chain
• Results orientated, excellent analytical, process and problem solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint

Pay Range: $65,000 - $75,000 base salary
